You'll now want to dive in for the second biggest grind in the game with Chapter Challenge.
NINJA GAIDEN 3 AYANE WALKTHROUGH TRIAL
If you're going for costume unlocks, make sure to start from the first Acolyte trial with Momiji and continue until you have both her and Kasumi's costumes (first at 25 complete and second at 50). Check the achievements for specifics but you need to do most of them. I didn't include them as online achievements simply because it is theoretically possible to solo them, but you're going to need some extreme luck and skill in equal measure to pull it off. In reality, there's no way in hell you're going to do some of the later challenges without a flesh-and-blood partner. In theory, you could have solo'd these in Step 3. Possibly making this a bit easier even than Master Ninja is the fact that enemies are even more grab-happy than usual, giving plenty of opportunities for Steel on Bone (SoB) counters. I may end up writing a guide for it specifically a bit later, but for now the same general tips that I gave for Master Ninja apply here. This is the highest difficulty available for the campaign and is appropriately punishing. Keep in mind you need to solo at least 10 of them for Lone Ninja so you may as well do that before trying co-op. You don't need to complete every Trial but you do need to do almost all of them. You may also want to knock out as many of the normal Trial-related achievements here as possible. You only need to play and win one match if you're lucky and you might come across an opportunity to get Dark Savior, though you can do that in normal Ninja Trials as well with a partner, which will also net you I Got Your Back. Just knock these online required achievements out at this point. Step 3: Clan Battles and Co-op Ninja Trial(s) Also, save your health upgrades for hard battles as buying them refills your health. Watch out for grabs, use the Steel on Bone mechanic, and focus on leveling up your weapons before anything else. This is a punishing difficulty, though not the highest, and slip-ups here can mean an instant death. I recommend doing Master Ninja before anything else simply due to the fact that it'll be easier if you have the campaign progression fresh in your mind. There is a video in the Golden Scarab achievement description.
Also make sure to nab all of the scarabs on this playthrough the rewards will make the following difficulties easier. Also note that Tests of Valor are not available on Hero so getting them done here or on a Normal playthrough will make your life easier. Playing on Hero will necessitate two further playthroughs before even trying Master Ninja and Hero is basically Normal anyway with an auto-dodge mechanic when your health is low. If you still choose not to do Hard on your first playthrough, at least play on Normal. Unlike the vanilla release, grabs are no longer a problem thanks to the re-introduction of Steel on Bone as a grab counter mechanic and the checkpoints in this game are frequent. With a few minor exceptions, the Hard difficulty of this game is actually the easiest in franchise history (easier even than Ninja Gaiden 3). While you do not need to start here, I would encourage it.

Grab your copy, strap in, and prepare for the true successor to the Ninja Gaiden franchise! Better still is the discounted price the game launched at. With the addition of more trials, weapons, and playable characters, with Ayane adding a couple of levels to the Story even, there is a lot more content and it's all of a higher quality. The difficulty is ramped up, Ryu is given more weapons to play with out of the gate, collectibles are again part of the mix, and everything has just been pushed up to 11 this time out.
